This particular online slot is one of the more traditional type developed by Microgaming. There is no bonus feature, it is a straight up reel play game featuring 9 win lines in standard mode, and 18 win lines in Power Spins mode (more on that below).

Our starting balance was 5,393 coins and we played with the maximum coin size of 1 across 9 win lines, which gives us a 45 coin per spin bet. However, we activated the Power Spins feature, and this raised out per spin wager to 60 coins.

Power Spins Mode

At first glance, the Power Spins mode seems a little confusing, so let’s explain it in simple terms right here. When the player switches the Power Spins Atomic 8’s online slot into Power Spins mode, the wager is increased by 50% but win lines then pay both ways from left to right and from right to left. This effectively doubles the available win lines to 18. This is great value and there really is no point playing Power Spins Atomic 8’s in normal mode.
