IGT at ICE 2013

February 3, 2013

ICE 2013 was one of the most eagerly awaiting online gambling and online casino trade shows of the year, and it took place at the end of January in London. International Game Technology (IGT) was at ICE 2013, and it was showing off some of it up and coming online slots, and associated technologies to an appreciative public audience.

Speaking on behalf of IGT about the ICE 2013 show was Eric Tom, IGT executive vice president of Global Sales, and he had this to say, “Innovation is at the heart of IGT, which is why we continually raise the bar by delivering unrivaled gaming innovations for our customers At ICE, attendees will get an upfront view of IGT’s vision, including how we are utilizing our extensive line-up of resources to provide cutting-edge gaming entertainment.”

So what did International Game Technology have to show us? Well, for a start there were some new video slots that are in development. This included the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation slot that is based on the popular CSI TV series. Also, Wyland, a new and innovate example of the way that online slots are developing, we actually tip Wyland to be a major launch this year, it was one of the best new slots at ICE 2013.

IGT was also showing off some of the improvements and extensions it has made to its mobile slots platform at ICE 2013. Mobile slots have been a hot ticket item for the last few months, and we think that IGT is probably one of the better developers at delivering great mobile slots. We expect to see IGT sign plenty of new licensing deals in the coming months based simply on the fact that its mobile slots platform is so good, and just about every online casino operator wants to grab a slice of the mobile slots action.

We think that International Game Technology is going to grab a significantly larger chunk of market share in 2013. We actually tip IGT, alongside Amaya Gaming as being the top video slots developers in 2013, possibly taking the crown away from the likes of Microgaming. Although we also think that Zynga needs keeping an eye on, as this Facebook developer may surprise us all.
