New Microgaming Tournament

To start its new initiative of publishing multi-player content each month, Microgaming has updated its Finer Reels of Life video slot game, by adding a multiplayer tournament feature. The Finer Reels of Life online slot is one of the newer Microgaming slots that features a fixed 243 ways to win, instead of a set number of pay lines. It also features a scatter symbol, wild symbol and a multi-level bonus feature. This bonus feature unlocks extra levels as the player completes each one, with the final level, the Champagne and Diamonds level, giving the player 25 free spins, with Rolling Reels active.

The new multi-player version of the Finer Reels of Life online slot game has already been released to some Microgaming powered online casino sites. This adds Finer Reels of Life to the March to Riches Microgaming multi-player slots tournament. This is an ongoing tournament, that will run until the end of March this year, and will award a total of $180,000 in prize money to the top contenders.

Speaking on behalf of Microgaming, James Ford has said that Microgaming intends to, “inject a fresh element to tournament play.” We went on to say that, “We accomplished this and our suite of multi-player tournament games went from 11 to 21. This year shows no sign of us slowing down, and The Finer Reels of Life is the first of many new additions to the platform in 2014.”

We have to say we love the fact that Microgaming is waking up to the fact that many people now enjoy multi-player online slot play. What we would really love to see is Microgaming going beyond the simple slots tournament and start adding other multi-player elements, in the same way that some of the free slots have, such as Zynga Elite Slots. This would add a whole extra level of gameplay to Microgaming video slots. However, the addition of Finer Reels of Life to the March to Riches online slot tournament is a good start. We can’t wait to see what Microgaming comes up with next month.
