Online Gambling now Legal in Nevada

It was only a few short days ago that we published an update on the legal situation faced by online casino sites and online gambling companies in the U.S.A. In that update we talked about New Jersey and Delaware being well along the road to making changes to online gambling law and legalizing online casino play. As well as some other states such as California and Iowa starting to move towards similar changes to gambling laws. Let’s face it; they don’t want to miss out on the extra gambling tax!

We also spoke in depth about Nevada, which was the first American State that began changing online gambling laws, even going so far as to begin issuing online gambling licenses to online casino operators and service companies.

So it is with some amazement that we are able to tell you that the gambling law in Nevada has now undergone a radical change, during an emergency state government meeting. Maybe the Governor of Nevada tells it best, this is what Governor Sandoval had to tell the world, “Today I sign into law the framework that will usher in the next frontier of gaming in Nevada.” This followed the unanimous support for and signing of bill AB114 that fully legalizes online gambling in Nevada!

This massive change, and don’t be fooled into thinking it isn’t, is likely to start some kind of landslide move, as many more American States begin to look at online gambling tax as a prime new source of revenue, and begin to make online casino play fully legal.

We tip both New Jersey and Delaware to be the next to follow suit, we wouldn’t be surprised to hear of New Jersey calling a similar emergency session to legalize online gambling, as there is a history of competition between New Jersey and Nevada.

Overall, this is fantastic news for American online gambling fans. We think that pretty soon, no matter where you live in the U.S.A, you will have access to secure, robust, regulated and entire legal online casino sites, and it is about darn time things happened! So well done Nevada for setting a trend.
