Live casino gaming is a fast growing area of online gambling and Playtech has decided to be a market leader. The Playtech Live initiative is scheduled to bring in revolutionary concepts and the flagship live casino experience, Grand Royale, has already been launched.

Through Grand Royale players at Playtech powered online casinos will benefit from a high-end gambling experience that delivers the look and feel of the exclusive Salle Privée tables with true VIP standards, superior features and functionality and personalized game play. There is no doubt that Grand Royale targets high roller players. It contains an array of new studio design elements and new style tables that contribute to a more engaging and richer player experience. Grand Royale live casino contains a total of seven tables, including five blackjack tables, one baccarat table and one roulette table. The popular Grand Blackjack table has been included. Playtech’s Grand Roulette has been upgraded to Mini Prestige Roulette.

Grand Royale went live as scheduled at Playtech licensees towards the end of February. The software provider reported smooth migration of existing users like Omni Casino and Mansion Casino. Playtech also reported an uplift of more than 30% across the new tables. Shimon Akad, COO of Playtech, said, "This first deployment represents the beginning of Playtech's new, next generation studio proposition. Each of the upcoming experiences, including Grand Royale, has been hand engineered to fit the needs of the customers using it, and contain unique elements that are specially designed to maximize the impact value we get from the customer and diversify the existing network.” Akad added that the live casino team has worked tremendously hard on the new studio and the many new environments, rooms and experiences that will soon be launched.

Grand Royale has been launched from the new Playtech studio, which is the industry's largest and most cutting-edge studio. The studio is built on top of the city's fortified 16th century walls in the heart of Riga Old Town in Latvia. It occupies 8,500 square meters and includes hundreds of state-of-the-art cameras to cater to hundreds more custom-made tables, an advanced control and monitoring centre and large-scale dealer campus. Additional space has been set aside for the growth in future demand. Mor Weizer, CEO of Playtech, said, "This has been a huge undertaking but, more importantly, is a huge step forwards in live casino and one no other company except Playtech is capable of making.”
